This is also known as Wood Ear Mushroom. These are thicker than Cloud Ear Mushroom and it is a very common type of edible mushroom, coloured white on one side, black on the other. It makes a great addition to almost any Asian dish or stir-fry due to its mild flavour and crunchy texture. It is usually added almost at the end of the cooking in order to keep it fresh and retain its nutrients.
